DONT TAKE ANYTHING IN THIS WEBSITE TO HEART except health and safety IT is meant for new employees and to comply with the law thats whre we have problems, we havent had any problems with longstanding employees in the past everyone sorts thing out between  themselves

Dont get a piggy on it has to be done for the law

Fire exit areas must be kept clear of stock and tripping hazards for emergency use

Heaters must be kept clear of combustible material including fluff

Brush up or vac daily around Risk Areas

Fire extinguishers must not be hidden by stock

sales area if portable heaters are used a suitable power point should be used and it should be situated away from falling paperwork

EVACUATION PROCEEDURE    IN EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY

Stay calm assess the situation, if you can without endagering yourself use correct fire extinguisher to fight the fire

Immediateley shout fire,on hearing that other staff should assess the situation and lead public to safety to assembly point at gate of rear yard,phone fire brigade unless you have catogorically been told that has been done,not forgetting there may be someone using the office who may not have heard the shout,Be ready to tell fire brigade officer details of missing persons and storage areas of explosive material ie spray adhesive gaz bottle for forklift oil tank for heating

If fire starts at bottom of stairs to store room staff should use rope ladder or ordinary ladder to escape this ladder should not be moved for any other reason
